The last 14 days has flown by in a blink of an eye and I can't believe that it is already our last full day here in Siem Reap, Cambodia! It felt very strange waking up, knowing that we will be leaving this wonderful country tomorrow. Hence, we decided to have a mini food tour and try to eat as much as possible before we get back to Hong Kong.
In the morning, we payed a visit to Sister Srey, where I had an Egg's Benedict and green fruit juice. Funnily enough, the other volunteers (D and Brendon) also chose to go there for breakfast - seems like they don't want us to go either! After enjoying the delicious meal, we headed to the Central Market for our fruit hunt. The fruits here are relatively cheaper than the ones in Hong Kong, thus we bought some mangosteens, mangoes, rambutan and dragon fruits to bring back with us.
For lunch, I wanted to have the rice with grilled meat from the stall that we pass by everyday, unfortunately, the stall wasn't there anymore - what a shame! Instead of that, I had a lovely mango with sticky rice, which was as equally tasty, I would have imagined. After recharging ourselves, I went back to the Central Market for the traditional Cambodia dessert. There was a variety of choices and I picked the lotus seed coconut sweet soup. The ice shavings helped cool me down and I was glad to have tried it.
In the afternoon, we opted for a more relaxing option of watching 'Maze Runner'.
